Style Webkey - USB Webkeys that Autorun your Website
What is a Webkey?
A webkey is a device which has been pre-programmed with a URL/web address. Webkeys look just like flash drives, with a USB connector on one end. By plugging a webkey into a computer, the web page that is stored on the device automatically opens up on the default web browser. There is no memory (storage capacity) on a webkey.
Are Webkeys the same as Flash Drives?
Webkeys are NOT Flash Drives.A webkey looks like a regular flash drive but has no internal memory to store data and files on. A webkey is designed to only store a single website address. The user of the webkey cannot add files like they would with a flash drive.
Why Buy a Webkey?
1. Webkeys can "Autorun"
This means that when you plug it in, the website immediately pops up on the user's screen. Flash drives used to be able to do this, but new operating systems prevent "Autorun" because there is potential to automatically run a virus stored elsewhere on the flash drive. Since the webkey can't hold anything other than a web address, it is not considered a threat and allowed to run by a PC or Mac.
2. Low Cost
In most cases, custom webkeys are more than half the cost of custom flash drives.
3. Easy to Operate
Runs automatically once plugged in. Customers won't get lost or frustrated searching for the contents. Compatible with most operating systems: Win98/2000/XP/Vista/Win7 & Mac 10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x
