Consumers of digital still cameras or MP3 players connect to a personal computer in order to download photographs or upload music files. Lexar Media's JumpShot integrates a complete USB-peripheral interface into the onboard controller, providing dual functionality to the card. When attached to a camera, MP3 player or any other CompactFlash-enabled device, Lexar Media CF+ cards operate as a CF+ compatible device. Lexar Media performs extensive testing to assure full compatibility with CF-enabled hosts. Attaching Lexar Media CF+ cards to the JumpShot cable activates the USB interface on the card, allowing personal computers to recognize the CF+ cards as an additional hard drive.
